Cody Wild Named NCDC Assistant Coach!

Foxboro, MA – The South Shore Kings are please and excited to announce the addition of Cody Wild as NCDC Assistant Coach.

Wild played for the Providence College Friars from 2005 to 2008, where he was named to the Hockey East All-Rookie team as well as the runner-up Hockey East Rookie of the Year his freshman year. In 2006, Coach Wild was drafted 140th overall by the Edmonton Oilers. During his junior year at PC, Coach Wild was the assistant captain of the Friars and soon left when the season finished pursuing his professional career. Wild played eight professional seasons in the American Hockey league, ECHL, and finished his career in Europe. Coach Wild spent time with the Springfield Falcons (AHL), Providence Bruins (AHL), Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins (AHL), Wheeling Nailers (ECHL), and Orlando Solar Bears (ECHL). After retiring from Professional Hockey, he served as the head coach and general manager of the Providence Capitals U16 USPHL team. He then volunteered his time assisting the Salve Regina Men’s ice hockey team in Rhode Island. In 2018, the Seahawks lost the Division III National Championship. Wild then went on to volunteer his time with the Division I Rhode Island High School team La Salle Academy. Coach Wild resides in Rhode Island with his wife, daughter.
