South Shore Kings shine for Massachusetts at USA Hockey Festivals;
several selected for USA National Teams.
The South Shore Kings have a long history of representing Massachusetts
at the USA U15, U16 and U17 National Festivals. Many of our top players

off in August every year against the best 16 and 17 year olds from
Canada, Russia, Sweden and Finland.
In 2000, Ryan Whitney '83, Brian McConnel '83, Michael Morris '83
and Robbie Flynn '83 played for Team USA. In 2001 Joe Rooney '85,
Chris Poli '85 and Jimmy Russo '85 were selected to play for Team
USA. In 2002 Keith Yandle '86, Nick Coskren '86 and Anthony Aiello
'86 made the USA team. In 2004, Brian Gibbons '88 and Paul Carey '88

At the U17 Festival in Rochester, NY Jimmy Hayes and Derek Pallis
'89 represented the Kings and Massachusetts. Following this summer's
tournament Jimmy Hayes was named to the USA Team. He'll leave the
2nd week in August to represent the US at this year's Five Nations
Cup which will take place in Switzerland.
Justin Mansfield 90' from Arlington will team up with Ian Graves
90' of Belmont and Steven Kelly 90' of Mansfield for Team Mass at
the U15 Festival at St. Cloud Minn.
At the 91 level Gus Young, Mark Hourihan, and Richie Crowley will
all be playing for the Mass 14's.
The Kings organization is proud of our players who take part in
the Massachusetts Satellite Program and we express our sincere thanks
to Mass Hockey who has pioneered this off season development program
which has benefited so many of our players in teaching them what it
takes to reach their full potential as athletes and young men.
