Jimmy Vesey named EJHL Offensive Players of

the week

Jimmy was outstanding in the Kings’ four games last week, potting eight goals and adding four assists. He started off with a hat trick and an assist in the 5-4 win over Bay State last Wednesday. On Friday against the Monarchs, he netted the game winner and added an assist, a feat he would duplicate on Saturday against Apple Core. On Sunday, he registered another hat trick along with an assist. The Harvard recruit hails from North Reading, MA, and is making a run at the EJHL’s single-season scoring record.

EJ Kings Sweep Apple Core

January 23

The Kings swept the visiting Apple Core team this weekend. On Saturday, Joe Presott scorced twice to lead the Kings to a 7-5 victory over Apple Core. On Sunday Jimmy Vesey's hat trick gave the Kings a 6-3 win over Apple Core.

Saturday:

First Period: Joe Prescott (Cooke, Vesey) scored 11:40 into the fiorst period.

Second Period: After falling behind 2-1, Shane Walsh (Colucci, Cruice) tied the game at 2-2 @ 11:47 into the second period. Forty-nine seconds later Dean Niezgoda (LeBrun, Piacentini) scorced to gibe the Kings a 3-2 lead.

Third Period: Apple Core tied the game at 3-3 two minutes into the third period. The Kings then scored three unanswered goals. Joe Prescott(LeBrun) scored 4:54 into the third period to give the Kings the momentum. Jonathan Mleczko(Piacentini, Niezgoda) would score at 6:29 of the third. Jimmy Vesey (Roy) with an assist from the goaltender Derek Roy to open up the Kings lead to 6-3. Dan McGinnis (Bailey, Ryan) would score his first goal as a King 12:03 into the thrid period.

Kings Empire Team beats the

Breakers 4-3

 

January 23

The Kings Empire team defeats the Breakers for the second time this week at Foxboro Sports Center. The Kings third period goal by Brandon Yee sealed the victory.

First Period:

Paul Wagner (Sugrue, Erban) started the scoring at 12:35 of the first period .

Second Period:

Alex Erban (Lazaro, Kilty) scored 5:54 in the second period to give the Kings a 2-0 lead. Tyler Ayers (C. Walsh, DeMontigny) scored 11:55 into the second period to give the Kings a 3-1 lead and add an insurance goal. The Breakers tied the game 3-3 on a power play goal with 3:15 left in the second period.

Third Period:

Bradon Yee (DeBuccia, Lazaro) scored the game winning goal :55 into the third period.

Goalie Brian Jacobs turned away 27 shots from the Breakers. The Kings (26-4) host Bridgewater on Sunday February 5th at 2:10 PM.

2 EJ Kings Players announce

College Commitments!!!!

Congratulations to Dean Neizgoda and Mike Reardon who have announced their committments to colleges.

Dean Neizgoda from Brewster, MA has committed to Norwich University in Norwich, CT. Dean is a graduate of Nasuet High School. Dean has been in the Kings Organization since 2009.

Mike Reardon from Norwood, MA has committed to Bentley College. Mike is a graduate of Nobles and Greenough School. Mike joined the Kings Organization in 2011.
