Charlie Coyle
The South Shore Kings congratulate Charlie Coyle, chosen by the San Jose Sharks as the 28th pick of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
After a prominent role at Thayer Academy, Coyle joined the Kings, finishing fifth in the EJHL in scoring and collecting Rookie of the Year honors. In combination with with a successful season with the Kings, Coyle joined the US National Development Program.
He also became the second EJHL player to win the prestigious John Carlton Award, presented to the most outstanding high school or junior player in Eastern Massachusetts. Coyle will attend BU in the fall.
Chris Wagner
Also in Saturday's NHL Entry Draft, the Anaheim Ducks used the 122nd selection to take Kings forward Chris Wagner.
Wagner was very succesful in his second year with the Kings, scoring 34 goals and picking up 49 assists. His 83 points led the EJHL last season and tied the single-season scoring record. Chris also collected Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year honors.
In the 2008-09 season, Wagner scored 34 points (20 goals, 14 assists). He will attend Colgate University this fall.

OPEN ROSTER SPOTS ~ CHA
There are still open roster spots with the CHA Tier III Junior B Program. It has come to our attention that the perception of this program is that it is a Junior "C" program: It is not a Junior "C" Program. The CHA does have another league for those teams, but they DO NOT participate in the Junior "B" environment.
As a reminder, this new Junior B program is designed for the high school graduate who is looking to play at the junior level and prepare for college. The athlete should be enrolled in a local junior college so he can schedule his courses to attend the on and off-ice sessions on a weekly basis.
Again, all of the team's practices and home games will be played at the Foxboro Sports Center. We will also play a 50 game schedule. There will be 2-3 on ice practices per week late morning/early afternoon and two (2) off-ice workouts per week at the EPS workout facility located at the Foxboro Sports Center. There will also be will 3-4 Showcase Tournaments and several non-league games/scrimmages as part of the schedule. Teams from the CHA Junior B programs that make the playoffs at the end of the season also play Empire Junior B teams in the USA Hockey National Tournament.
Any player interested in an open spot can contact Steve Ouellette at benchboss19@cox.net for a meeting and potential on-ice evaluation. We have no open roster spots for goaltenders. Forwards and Defense openings only.

Six Well-Known Clubs Join CHA
The CHA is proud to announce the acceptance of six new clubs into its Tier 3 Junior B League. These six clubs will ice teams in the CHA beginning with the 2010-2011 season.
The current expansion of the CHA Junior B League from 12 to 18 teams offers a phenomenal opportunity for many players in the Northeast to join the Junior ranks. The teams that are joining the CHA are:

MARLBORO, MA - 2010 Tier III Junior Nationals -Junior A
St. Louis Jr. Blues 4 vs. South Shore Kings 3
The St. Louis Jr. Blues defeated the Kings in their final matchup for the 2010 USA Hockey Tier III Junior “A“National Championship game at the New England Sports Center in Marlboro, MA.
The Kings played brilliantly for the entire tournament, but the Blues skated away with the win even though the Kings outshot the Jr. Blues by a wide margin (45-19).
It was a tremendously successful season for the Kings that should not be tarnished by this ending. Congratulations and a job well done boys, we are extremely proud of every one of you.
On behalf of the South Shore Kings Hockey Program, we want to congratulate the St. Louis Jr. Blues who were crowned the 2010 USA Hockey National Tier III Junior “A” National Champions today.
